Having trouble exporting a fastcut video2/20/2023 However it required rendering (the new sequence decided that it wanted to be 720x480 - DV/DVCPRO-NTSC, 29.97 FPS), which again, took forever, and the image quality was downright ******. It even maintained its aspect ratio upon export (using letterbox) I tried moving the first 30 seconds of footage into a new sequence to see if it made the same mistakes upon export. Tried exporting using quicktime conversion to an mpeg-4 - complete & total disaster, the audio and video are on different planetsĮvery time i do another thing that's supposed to make it better, the export gets worse and worse - the audio/video sync just gets worse Re-rendered the entire project (which took like 2 hours). got rid of all the livetype files, replaced them with still text from within final cut. changed all the livetype files to match the frame rate, didn't help.Ģ. there's even one part where instead of going black, it suddenly switches to a still frame from the B section and then goes into the next clip)ġ. The jerky parts are definitely related to transitions and titles (they tend to occur in link transitions in sections of A footage. However this time when the footage came to me and I plopped it into Final Cut, nothing turned red! So I was like SCORE and proceeded gamely forward. Usually I convert everything to a DV file before starting to edit so that I don't have to re-render. I also use titles from Livetype - they were originally something else (25 fps something?) but while troubleshooting I changed them to the same format as the A footage ->1440x1080, 29.97 fps, LiveType Codec. (this isn't footage i took, i'm just the editor! obviously i realize that using all those different formats are already a problem) ("mtv-style editing")ī) there's also about 3 minutes (all the same clip) from a file which is 640x360, 25 fps, H.264Ĭ) there's about 30 seconds from a file which is 1280x720, 29.97, H.264 Almost like the film is caught on a bikechain.Ī) most of the footage comes from a mov file with settings identical to the sequence. Also, it's a project for someone else so my rep is on the line.įirstly, the exported quicktime file stretches out the image vertically and I don't know why that is but I can fix that on YouTube so I'm not as concerned about that.īut the problem is that once exported, there are several places in the exported file where the screen goes black or red, or jumps, or gets very pixelated. I've been trying stuff for nearly 24 hours now and can't figure it out and I might go crazy. I'm having trouble exporting my final cut file (it's about 12 minutes long) to quicktime (using Export to Quicktime Movie, like usual) and consequently to an internet-ready format (which i do within quicktime) and consequently to the internet.
